mediator, attorney, notary, conveyancer, and someone who firmly believes that even the most difficult disputes can be resolved with dignity, respect, and the right guidance.
My journey in alternative dispute resolution began in 2013, and over the years I have worked extensively with individuals, families, and professionals navigating emotionally and legally complex matters. Alongside my mediation practice, I am an admitted practising attorney, notary, and conveyancer, holding an LLB degree with Psychology as a major - a combination that deeply shapes the way I approach conflict resolution.
While the law provides structure, I believe understanding people is what creates meaningful and lasting resolutions.I also lecture part-time at the University of the Free State in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), where I remain actively involved in developing and promoting modern, solution-focused approaches to conflict management.
My approach to mediation is calm, practical, and compassionate. I understand that behind every legal dispute are real people, real emotions, and often real hurt. Whether the matter involves divorce, parenting arrangements, family disputes, business disagreements, or civil conflict, my goal is always to create a safe and constructive space where parties can move away from confrontation and towards resolution.
I firmly believe that in many disputes, people become so focused on winning the fight that they lose sight of the far greater cost of losing the war.
For more than a decade, I have worked with individuals, families, and professionals navigating complex legal and interpersonal disputes. My background as an attorney has provided me with extensive experience in negotiation, conflict management, family law matters, litigation, and dispute resolution.
Since 2013, mediation has formed a significant part of my professional journey, allowing me to help parties move beyond positions of conflict and towards practical, sustainable solutions.
My legal background enables me to understand the legal implications of disputes, while my grounding in psychology helps me understand the people behind them.I believe that effective mediation requires more than legal knowledge. It requires patience, active listening, emotional intelligence, and the ability to create a space where difficult conversations can take place constructively.
